Harry Potter Stuffed Jacket Potato Recipe Method:

  1. To begin, wash and clean your jacket potatoes. I like to use a clean sponge to scrub the skins. Pat dry before adding to a baking tray. Drizzle olive oil, salt with salt and pepper and rub over until well coated.

  2. Pierce each potato with a sharp knife before baking in the oven at 180c for 2 hours.

  3. While the potatoes are cooking you can get started on your jacket potato fillings:

  4. For the Gryffindor Chilli I've fried off some onions and garlic before adding in minced beef. Season with salt, pepper, mixed herbs, a beef stock cube and some cinnamon and keep on cooking until the mince is broken up and browned. Add in the tomato puree, pasta, kidney beans in chilli sauce and Worcestershire sauce and mix through before leaving to simmer for 20 mins.

  5. For the Slytherin Guacamole, slice the avocados in half to remove the seeds and scoop out the insides. Mash together until smooth before adding the diced onion, tomato, sour cream and seasonings in and stir through.

  6. For the Ravenclaw Refried Beans, fry the onions and garlic in butter until softened. Add in the kidney beans in chilli sauce along with a vegetable stock cube, salt, pepper and mixed herbs. Stir through and allow to simmer for 10 minutes. Once softened you can mash the beans together.

  7. For the Hufflepuff Macaroni Cheese melt the butter in a pan and add the flour beating into a paste. Cook for 2 minutes before slowly adding in the milk and whisking into a sauce as it thickens. Add in the cheese until melted before seasoning with salt, pepper and mustard. Stir in the cooked macaroni, place into a baking dish with a little extra cheese on top and then bake in the oven at 180c for 20 minutes.

  8. To assemble each jacket potato, cut a cross into the top and press the sides to open it up. Flavour the potato with salt, pepper and butter and then spoon your favourite topping in. Garnish with the leftover ingredients and serve!
